Manager - Industrial Engineering

The Manager - Industrial Engineering is responsible for providing oversight and directions to the members of the Industrial Engineering Team in the Product Development Department within Transmission Technologies in Schaeffler Group North America at the Wooster, Ohio facility).
The responsibilities of the industrial engineering team are: the piece work incentive system and rates, optimal plant layout, MTM initiative, new and existing product costing, and ergonomics.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, have close visual acuity and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to maneuver objects, tools. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, bend, push, pull, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 65 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
The Industrial Engineering Manager must provide oversight and direction to employees in accordance with Schaeffler policies and procedures as well as assist employees in setting goals. This position must lead employees by creating training and development plans, coaching employees, and providing feedback in regards to employee performance, quality, and safety.
The Industrial Engineering Manager will be required to mentor and empower their employees to foster a team environment and have strong conflict management skills, be able to maintain employee work schedules, manage multiple projects at once, and have ability to make quick effective decisions. Due to the fact that this individual will interface frequently with both local and international Schaeffler associates, as well as with external customers; excellent communication skills are critical. Travel may be required for this position.
This position is required to know and understand the current specifications of the Quality Policy and procedures, as well as the Safety and Environment Policy and procedures and contribute to the achievement of the company objectives. In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by his/her supervisor that are essentially related to his/her duties.

Educational:
BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 5 years Industrial Engineering or process engineering experience.
