Our client is a full service repair business serving industries that use process analytical equipment, opacity analyzers, and emissions analyzers, based out of Northern Ohio.
They are looking to hire a Field Service Engineer to perform maintenance and troubleshooting services for their clients nationwide. Travel is up to 90% and the perspective employee can live anywhere in the US as long as they are willing to travel. Most of work is scheduled Monday through Friday and even weekends are avoided for travel.

Description for Field Service Engineer - Instrumentation
Veteran owned small industrial service company seeks Field Service Engineer experienced in CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems) and/or COMS (Continuous Opacity Monitoring Systems). The successful candidate will be responsible for complex troubleshooting and repair of gas analyzers, and performance of EPA COMS Audits and Cylinder Gas Audits (CGA).

Considering candidates in the Continental US to work from their home.

Experience for Field Service Engineer
o Minimum 3 years COMS, CEMS or gas analyzer troubleshooting and repair experience.
o Prior field service experience.
o Two or four year electronics and/or instrumentation degree or Navy/Air Force schooling.
o Comprehensive knowledge of 40 CFR 60.
Requirements for Field Service Engineer:
o Ability to make vertical climbs up to or in excess of 25 feet and work at elevated heights.
o Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch; lift and/or move more than 50 lbs. overhead.
o Overnight travel 50-75%, for Wooster based personnel, 80-90% for remote personnel.
o Strong electronics skills including ability to read schematics and do board level repairs.
o Instrumentation troubleshooting experience.
o Accurate color acuity.


Other Responsibilities
This candidate will also need to perform troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing and calibrations on a variety of gas analyzers in various industrial environments (energy, chemical, manufacturing). Maintain detailed documentation of repairs and maintenance.
Clean driving record, criminal background check and drug tests are required.
