The job duties of the position include: Lead the manufacturing industrialization team (comprised of: Planner-Tooling Manager-Stamping, Manager, Heat Treatment, Machining Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer-Process, Welding Engineer, Engineer-Move, Manufacturing Engineer-Production, Quality Engineer-Customer Quality Engineering / APQP, International Transfers & Immigration Specialist, Quality Engineer Section Leader, Account Manager, Manager, Plant Engineering, Director, VS3 Manager, Director, Technical Planning, Section Leader, Plant Engineering, Director, Tooling, Manager, Special Equipment Manager, Tooling-design, Section Leader-Designer Engineer, Production Verification Engineer, Section Leader-Purchasing Engineer, Data Management Specialist); responsibility for manufacturing process development and optimization for automated assembly and testing, CNC machining, and robotic MIG welding; transfer knowledge from the existing production facility in the United States to China; acquire new capital equipment; define equipment requirements, equipment prove-out, and oversee installation and start-up; analyze, determine and understand customers needs and provide alternative solutions when needed while meeting deadlines; maximize quality and minimize cost; process documentation to support production.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
2 years of experience in the job offered or as a process engineer, mechanical engineer or designer, project engineer, or project manager in the automotive industry, plus demonstrated experience in manufacturing process cost estimating; PFMEA, control plan, process flow and quality specifications; and on SPC, 5S/8D and design software incl. Pro-E, AutoCAD.
MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
